  • Serving on the Executive Committee.
  • Ensuring that an accurate account of the organization's financial status is maintained, including overseeing the necessary day-to-day banking procedures.

As Bike Edmonton is mostly a Policy Governing Board in type and structure, the Treasurer’s duties must not interfere with the Executive Director's financial accountability to the board. The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring finances are accurately reported, but the Executive Director is responsible for making spending decisions, and is therefore accountable for budget deviations.
