Keep Edmonton Rolling

Dear Bike Edmonton Members,

Last week, we asked for your help. Many of you have graciously donated. We need everyone to keep supporting the vision of a city where cycling is safe, widespread, and accessible to people of all comfort levels.

Good news: we now have a matching donor!

If you donate through Crowdfunding Alberta, they will match up to 50% of $10,000. That means we could receive $5,000 in matching donations!

Please click here or use the donate button below to match your donation.

We are facing an immediate financial crunch. We are building a sustainable and prosperous future by having voted on a balanced budget at our last board meeting. However, we still have to get through the winter months, when revenue is lower.

If every person reading this email donates $25, we will raise $30,000. These funds will help carry us through the winter months and address cash flow issues.

Other ways you can support Bike Edmonton are:

Together, we make sure every Edmontonian keeps rolling.

Still looking for a gift that a bike rider in your life will adore?

Crane bell

No bell sounds as nice as a Crane bell, a durable classic that looks good on any bike. Available in a range of colours and finishes at both shops.

Bike lock

Give the gift of peace of mind with a high-security lock. Our Zefal and Securex folding locks and U-locks will protect your loved ones' bikes whenever they're not riding and offer comparable security to more expensive brand names. Available at both shops.

Panniers

Our basic shopper panniers are a great choice for a rider who already has a rack on their bike but could use some more carrying capacity. This set is easy to install, fits a wide range of rear racks, and comes with a rain cover. Available at both shops.

Know Your Bike poster

The Know Your Bike poster (aka the contrafactual bike poster) is an essential reference to help you remember what bike parts are NOT called! This amusing and amazing piece of bike art is printed on 18" x 13" glossy paper.

The poster was created by cheeky local duo Tamarack and Juniper, who are Jesse Cunningham (@tamarackcunningham) and graphic designer/cycling enthusiast Juniper Mitchell (@juniper.mitchell.art).

Available at both shops or on our downtown online store and south online store.

Wrap your gifts with Map Wrap!

Map Wrap

For gift-giving magic with a low-waste twist, Map Wrap is back! We've put together packages of out-of-date bike and river valley trail maps that make fantastic wrapping paper.

Map Wrap was born when our staff started using outdated bike maps for gift wrap. We found the maps were better quality than most commercial wrapping paper ... and they're recyclable!

Each Map Wrap package is $30 and contains:

  • 20 maps
  • 10 yards of bicycle print grosgrain ribbon
  • 3 laser-cut wood ornaments/gift tags (1 Bike Edmonton and 2 blanks)
  • 1 roll of bicycle print washi tape
  • 4 small bicycle line bookmarks
  • 3 small bicycle charms
  • 1 small roll of scotch tape
  • 1 small bike & animal postcard/gift tag
  • Bike Edmonton stickers

Map Wrap packages are available at both shops, or through our downtown online store and south online store.
