* Q: Of the 11,500 Edmontonians who gave their feedback about biking, is there a breakdown of demographics, age, gender, and how they identify themselves (i.e. Caucasian, Indigenous, Asian, Indian, etc.)? Is this information kept in house or is it in a "what we heard" report?
* Q: Of the 11,500 Edmontonians who gave their feedback about biking, is there a breakdown of demographics, age, gender, and how they identify themselves (i.e. Caucasian, Indigenous, Asian, Indian, etc.)? Is this information kept in house or is it in a "what we heard" report?
** A:
** A: Some of that is in the "what we heard" report. One of the challenges that we had as we went through our engagement, while we did try to do our best to capture demographics, the focus of that type of information has become more to the forefront as we move forward.

* Q: How will the Bike Plan accommodate end of trip facilities?
** A: We have heard that EOT facilities and bike parking are an issue. On Street parking falls under City Facilities and we are working with them. Private property (i.e. businesses) falls under Zoning bylaws. Bike Parking has traditionally been linked with vehicle parking and the vehicle parking zoning guidelines have recently changed. This is something that we are working with Zoning on this.

* Q: What stage is the city at concerning higher security bike parking such as bike lockers, Pilot, planning, implementation?
** A: ETS is currently looking at some options. It is at different stages at different parts of the city corporation.

* Q: What percentage of city built bike parking spaces will be high security type such as bike lockers according to the bike plan?
** A: There has not been much high security applied by the city itself. ETS has done some pilot projects at LRT stations.

* Q: Has the city entered any partnerships with commercial or community hubs to provide high security bike parking?
** A:

* Q: When the city increases the inventory of bike lanes has the city included the cost to increase the snow clearing equipment by the same amount? (ie if we add 10% more bike lanes we add 10% more plows)
** A: The All-Season network is intended to factor that in. We do not set the snow clearing budget, but we have been working with the maintenance team to have an ongoing communication and integration to address this. We are learning and continuing to learn.

* Q: This year the scheduled clearing of neighbourhoods was sometimes weeks behind the scheduled clearing of bike lanes. Does the bike implementation plan discuss how different snow clearing crews will work together to provide good connectivity for cyclists?
** A: The Bike Plan doesn't speak to this specifically, but it does lay out clear goals. Then we are looking to partner with them as we move forward. We are working with the City's Snow and Ice Clearing policy to ensure that these pieces are covered.

* Q: How does the city make the distinction between winter maintained portions of the bike network and non winter maintained portions of the bike network?
** A: We looked at a lot of maps and usage patterns. We also factored in safety and accessibility.
