| the objects of the society were amended as follows:

| <li>to assist the public in the registration, choosing and maintenance of bicycles.</li>
| |
| <li>to organise community events calculated to popularize the bicycle.</li>
| |
| <li>to encourage the provision of bicycle parking.</li>
| |
| <li>to educate the public in safe bicycle riding.</li>
| |
| <li>to educate the public in the promotion of health through bicycling.</li>
| |
| <li>generally, to increase the quality of life by encouraging the daily use of the bicycle.</li>
