TAKE NOTICE that by special resolution, dated the 6th day of March,
1989, passed by the members of THE EDMONTON BICYCLE COMMUTERS SOCIETY,
the objects of the society were amended as follows:

"<ol start="2"><li>
<ol style="list-style-type:lower-alpha">
<li>to increase the awareness of the public and public authorities of the reasonable requirements for the safe bicycling of the public.</li>
<li>to reduce pollution of the atomosphere by reducing dependence on the internal combustion engine.</li>
<li>to assist the public in the registration, choosing and maintenance of bicycles.</li>
<li>to organise community events calculated to popularize the bicycle.</li>
<li>to encourage the provision of bicycle parking.</li>
<li>to educate the public in safe bicycle riding.</li>
<li>to educate the public in the promotion of health through bicycling.</li>
<li>generally, to increase the quality of life by encouraging the daily use of the bicycle.</li>
</ol>
