This report was provided by Treasurer Neil Carey for the September 2010 Board Meeting.

Treasurer’s Report, September 2, 2010

  • Year end mostly complete. Still waiting on interest from ING.
  • Will have preliminary numbers at meeting. August slightly skewed because I bumped up the Sept 3 paycheque to Aug 31 to give me two weeks to close the year, as well as to better match cost to work. This was also done last year, and may be done next year. Whole year numbers are right, but because we don't do strict month ends, the monthly numbers look a little off.
  • New cash sheet launched at bikeworks. Should help track usage trends, and better categorize sales. Also, if things are recorded accurately, we’ll be able to peg a number to missing money. Alternatively, we could have lots of magically appearing money.
  • STEP grant changed criteria between application deadline and funding offers. We didn’t notice. Turns out to get funding the employee needed to be a full time student at some point during the previous 12 months. This means we’ll be retroactively swapping Anna’s and Victoria’s summer titles. Will cost us around $300 since Victoria worked fewer hours, but is in line with my forecasts.
  • Need reports for STEP and Action for Healthy Communities ASAP. Will forward Alexa’s timesheet summary for her to sign off on before she leaves.
